The confession of faith is preceeded by: "To the Christian reader; especially heads of families" [8] pages, "The contents of the chapters in the Confession of faith" [2] pages, "A grave and serious advice of the ministers of the Kirk of Scotland, to masters of families that they may govern according to the Word of God" 4 pages, "Christian reader" (running title "To the Christian reader", not the same as the first section) [6] pages and "Errata" [1] pages.
