Rodney Sharp Professor Emeritus in the School of Education and the Department of Psychology; member of the UD faculty since 1969, he also served as director of UD's Office of Graduate Studies in Education from 1971-77 and as director of the Center for Educational Leadership and Policy from 1995-2000; retired from UD in 2015; research interests: developmental and educational psychology, child development, and teacher education; founding president of the Teacher Education Accreditation Council (TEAC) in Washington, D.C., and served as chair of its board of directors and for the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP), also in Washington, D.C.; born in East Orange, N.J., he grew up in Brooklyn and Queens, New York; received his bachelor's degree from St. John's College in Annapolis, Maryland, and his M.A.T. and Ph.D. degrees from the Johns Hopkins University; lived in Newark, Delaware)
