Eric Snow collection on LaMar Berrett papers, 1843-1991 (LaMar C. Berrett was born March 28, 1926 in Riverton Utah. He joined the United States Military in 1944 and fought in the Battle of the Bulge during World War II. After the war he served a Mormon mission in the Southern States Mission. On August 3, 1950 he married Darlene Hamilton in the Salt Lake Temple, they were the parents of nine children. He graduated from the University of Utah with a bachelor's degree in business and later recieved his master's and doctorate degrees from BYU. He was a seminary teacher in Copperton, Utah as well as Heber. He later worked as a professor of religion for twenty-nine years at BYU. He passed away August 25, 2007)

LaMar C. Berrett (1926-2007) was a Mormon scholar and author who was born in Riverton, Utah and spent his life in Utah teaching Seminary in Copperton and Heber, Utah as well as Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah.
