  • Information found: (Dr. Maurice S. Rawlings, 87, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, died on Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2010, at his residence. He was an international expert on "near death experiences." He was a longtime resident of Chattanooga, and had served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, and in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was physician to President Dwight Eisenhower. He was an associate clinical professor of medicine for the University of Tennessee and a National Teaching Faculty for the American Heart Association.
